Thema: Replica Wheels (In English - sorry!)

Long time lurker to your fine forum.

Sorry for the English - my German is limited to asking a young lady for a beer learned, on a motorcycle trip Alps in 1992! I make way through the site using Google Translator .

Looking for your insight - Bill J. , January, Roland and others. In addition to a replica that I rollingframe rebuilding, I purchase a spare set of replica wheels a few months ago. I plan to keep the front brake disks as spares for the replica and use the replica wheels on my Skorpion Sport. Rear is a easy swap and initial measurements look like front will work with a Ducati 320 mm brake disk (same bolt pattern) . The speedo drive even looks like it will work and the axle size is the same - maybe a simple spacer only on the right side. Has anybody else seen / done this conversion ?

Regarding the wheel weight the replica wheels are about the same weight as a CBR F3 - which I'm putting on my other bike Scorpio project . Unfortunatly SDRs were never imported to the United States and unavailable.

Thanks in advance

Doug in NJ (near NYC ), USA.

Sorry, I haven't any experience with the Replica wheels or other Replica-parts. Maybe Bill has?

No I also have no personal experienfe.
At the back, there are no problems since the replica uses the same swingam.
But at the front there will be some fitting necessary since the Replica has a WhitePower USD fork and uses 280mm rotors. The standard pattern Brembo 320mm rotor will fit the wheel but the offset may not be right so you could well have to mill the caliper or make spacer to move out or in. When you do fit , throw the crummy Grimeca caliper away, far away.

Thanks for the input. I'll let you know how things turn out in a few months.

I do not have my notes available. Can someone let me know the stock scorpion front wheel centerline to front (inside face) of the brake disk measurement?

So regarding the replica. Is there anyone that's the authority on these - production numbers, differences (frame diameter ), etc. Also has anyone seen The Official MuZ "power kit "parts installed?

Thank you

Doug
