hi,
on the left side of the caburator you should unsrew the fuel drain plug on the bottom side.
the skorpion is no god starter with fuel which is older than 3- 7 days...., so let of round about 50ml and try to start again.

hi,
the easiest way ist buy a spray can of "Starthilfe" = starter helper for diesel cars - you can get that at any petrol station. From the right side of the Skorpion you can see the airbox hanging down near the starter. At the bottom of the black plastic airbox there is a hose with a spring retainer. Pull off that hose (the crankcase vent) and spray some of that diesel start pilot into the airbox and then start the bike, It may take a couple of tries before it will keep running, but it work; I do it that way all the time when the bike hasn't been used for few days. I know it shouldn't be necessary but the standard carburator is really not very good. While you are at it, take off the petrol pump entirely and stick the hose from the tank directly onto the carburator. That helps. The pump is useless on the Skorpion, indeed a hinderance. The motor is originally for the xtz and the gastank on that one is lower than the carburator, so a pump is necessary. But not on the Skorpion. Good dealers remove the pump immediately before selling the bike, so it may no langer be there.
Feel free to ask all you want in English or French no problem here. Or write me off list.

Hi!
Are you sure that you have an ignition? Often the switch of the side stand is demaged. You can bridge the switch under the seat, there is the connector.
Sometimes the relais of the starter/killswitch makes trouble.
You can bridge it also. It is the black cube under the seat.Just connect the red and red/black cable.

I think these are some great suggestions. To Jorg's comment about draining the carb, I would add that you should keep the fuel petcock closed when you open the float bowl drain. Then drain all the fuel that comes out--it won't be much.
I usually close the petcock when I'm a block away from home, so that the float bowl is empty for when I put the bike in the garage.
Careful when you try to pull out the screw--it is easy to #$@%! up!
